City of Morehead Facility Closures

Following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control regarding the prevention of the novel coronavirus, the City of Morehead is closing the Laughlin Health Building for public use and suspending the activity of all city sports leagues until April 3, 2020. All upstairs reserved events will still be permitted. Peggy’s Place and Carl Perkins Center reservations will not change at this time. City and Community Park recreation facilities including the playground, all fields, skatepark and basketball courts will be closed to the public until April 3, 2020.
Youth league sports programs including indoor soccer, youth volleyball, and secondary basketball will be postponed until and revaluated on April 3, 2020. There will be no games or practices for these leagues until that date.
All baseball and softball leagues will be notified of any changes by Parks and Recreation Staff. If you have any questions, please contact the Parks and Recreation office at 606-784-8686.
