Morehead Parks & Recreation Open Pickleball Court

Morehead Parks and Recreation announced today, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 the opening of the first community Pickleball Court. The court is located on 1st Street, right by the Cora Wilson Stewart Moonlight School. This new addition will serve our residents in many ways. It will help people get active, learn the fastest growing sport in America, and can foster community with new Pickleball friends. Participates are required to bring their own equipment and it is a first come, first serve court. It is open to people of all ages, who can play a game similar to table top tennis. Read More

Sheltowee Falls Splash Pad Opens Saturday, May 25

The wait is almost over, Saturday, May 25, 2024 the Sheltowee Falls Splash Pad will open for the ’24 season. The facility will be open daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with private rentals from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. There will be concessions on hand for food and drinks. We ask that no outside food will be permitted. The Splash Pad is free during public hours. For rentals it is $100 for the two hours. You must contact Sherry Lyon to reserve the Splash Pad.
