Annual Freedom Fest event will be July 5-6, 2024

Join the City of Morehead, Rowan County, Downtown Morehead Inc., Morehead-Rowan County Tourism and the Morehead Optimist Club as they host the annual Morehead Freedom Fest. This year’s event is sponsored by UK St. Claire. Friday, July 5 will kick off the event with music and food trucks in the Battson- Oates Entertainment Area at 7 p.m. The fun will continue all day Saturday, July 6 with things getting started at noon. Youth Football, Cheer and Soccer Signups happening until Wednesday, July 3

While the temperatures are saying summer is here, the Parks and Recreation Department is thinking about fall… sports. The Morehead Youth Football/Cheer/Soccer leagues are currently taking registrations for the Fall 2024 season. Football and Cheerleading both start for children in Kindergarten and goes up to 5th grade. Soccer may have a child who is in Pre- K (age 4 by October 1.) all the way through 6th grade.
