Creating Vibrant Communities

Help make Downtown Morehead a destination for living and visiting. The Creating Vibrant Communities committee is wanting feedback from our community members. Please complete the survey below before September 23, 2024 to help with this project. There are 4 goals to this plan to help make downtown Morehead a destination within the region.

• Goal 1- Residents and visitors shop, dine, play and live.
• Goal 2- People, bikes and cars can easily & safely travel
• Goal 3- Our story is told through buildings and public spaces
• Goal 4- The economy thrives with local businesses and tourism

The city was selected to work with KYTC and a team of consultants to create a plan for downtown Morehead. The CVC program aims to proactively help communities plan for land use, transportation, and future development options for a site or targeted area containing multiple properties The goal is for a community to create a strong vision for its future and then take the reigns to make it a reality! This plan is funded through KYTC and is focused on downtown Morehead. The targeted area is outlined on the map at: https://rb.gy/k0c54i 

Developing this plan is a collaborative process, so public involvement is vital to ensuring the plan will be successful in meeting the needs of everyone in the community. This survey is to review the initial strategies that have been identified for downtown Morehead and provide feedback on those strategies.
