Posted November 27, 2024
Morehead residents are encouraged to participate in the planning process by engaging in a public open house scheduled for December 4, 2024 at the Morehead Conference Center, 4:30-6:30 pm.
Morehead, KY — The City of Morehead and consultants will hold a public Open House on the Morehead Creating Vibrant Communities Conceptual Plan developed with assistance from Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, TSW Designers, and additional consultants. The public can provide input on the draft plan’s land use, transportation, character, and economic development strategies on December 4, 2024, 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the Morehead Conference Center in the atrium pre-event area. Project consultants will be on hand to answer questions from the public about the draft plan including targeted development strategies recommended.
While at the Open House, participants are encouraged to check out the local merchant’s table. Then, stay downtown to attend the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music Showcase in the Conference Center Auditorium at 7:00 pm.
Community input from the Open House will support the final conceptual plan, scheduled to be completed by early January 2025. This conceptual plan will serve as a guidance document for future growth and development in downtown to support effective decision-making in private development projects and community initiatives.
The meeting date, location, and time:
Wednesday December 4, 2024, Morehead Conference Center, 111 E First St, Morehead, KY 40351 from 4:30 – 6:30pm.
