The City of Morehead is offering storm debris pickup for free.
Posted October 1, 2024
The City of Morehead along with the Department of Public Works is assisting city residents after the remains of Hurricane Helene swept through the region. If local citizens have debris and large tree branches displaced in their yards, they may gather them for Public Works to pick up free of charge.
The city asks that all debris is piled as contained as possible at the end of the resident’s driveway. Typically in the area where their weekly garbage is picked up. Once the citizen is ready for pickup, please call City Hall from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Monday- Friday to let Public Works know. You may reach City Hall at 606.784.8505. This is for those citizens that reside within city limits. This service is offered until Friday, October 4, 2024.
