Public Open House to review the Creating Vibrant Communities Conceptual Plan for Downtown Morehead

Morehead residents are encouraged to participate in the planning process by engaging in a public open house scheduled for December 4, 2024 at the Morehead Conference Center, 4:30-6:30 pm.Morehead, KY — The City of Morehead and consultants will hold a public Open House on the Morehead Creating Vibrant Communities Conceptual Plan developed with assistance from Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, TSW Designers, and additional consultants. Garbage Can Regulations

The Public Works Department with the City of Morehead are beginning to deliver the new tipper can trash containers to all city residents. This process will beginning Monday, November 18 and continue throughout the week. Each resident will also receive a paper copy of “Garbage Can Regulations.” GARBAGE CAN REGULATIONS As of December 1, 2024, only trash in cans provided by the City of Morehead will be collected. New Trash Container Program for City Residents

The City of Morehead and the Public Works Department are bringing an efficient way to better serve the residents of Morehead. Garbage pickup will be changing in the City of Morehead, KY. Currently residents within the city limits are able to place their own cans for collection. This often leads to wildlife spreading items across property or extreme lifting for our Public Works employees.
